Indications
- retrograde filling of apical portion of the root canal
- elimination of root perforations
- elimination of perforations in the bottom of the tooth cavity
- apexification

“Canal MTA” is characterized by a high sealing ability, which remains practically unchanged in contact with blood. The material has a high value of pH ≈ 12, and has therefore a pronounced bactericidal effect. Mechanical properties of “Canal MTA” are similar to natural dentin and cement of the root. Material stimulates osteogenesis and cementogenesis, it has high strength and durability.
Material hardens upon contact with water, increasing the compressive strength over time. After the mixing has started, Canal MTA starts hardening after 12 min.
Composition
- “Canal MTA” consists of a mixture of hydrophilic particles: mostly tricalcium silicate, calcium compounds of ferrum and aluminum
- Contains no monomers
